Baldy Zen Centre in California. Many of the poems in his new collection refer to that time. Religion and spirituality have been long time creative preoccupations along with the nature of love and desire. His new book is called "Book of Longing" and besides poems, ballads and pieces of prose there are sketches, self-portraits and symbols. Shelagh Rogers speaks with Leonard Cohen from Toronto.
